Doppelganger

UpdatesPosted by Henderson Mon, April 17, 2017 07:01:56

Over the Easter weekend we've been on a Journey to the Far Side of the Sun, looking at the mirror world of Doppelganger. With an exploration vehicle called Phoenix, and a shuttle called the Dove, bringing a messenger (Roy Thinnes) who dies trying to convince a disbelieving world of the truth, maybe Rank should have released this film over Easter 1969, instead of holding the film back for Christmas.
Here's Patrick Wymark and the redoubtable Norma Ronald - this time playing secretary Pam Kirby. You can read more at our new Doppelganger page here

Cat is You, Bird is Me

A real zeitgeist episode of "The Power Game" with a middle aged "breadhead" chasing a wild free spirit. The background story reflects a pivotal moment in the post war economy as the international exchange mechanism shudders towards self-destruction.
Felicity Gibson plays the interpreter who turns Sir John Wilder's head in the 18 February 1969 episode of The Power Game
